Consumer Engagement towards Energy Saving Behavior by means of Exploiting Micro Moments and Mobile Recommendation Systems
The motivation for this project is the need to present to consumers evidence-based results on the costs and benefits of ICT-enabled energy efficiency techniques, together with clear and on-time, engaging guidance and support on how to realize the energy savings available, so as to widen user adoption of such techniques and increase their effectiveness.
(EM)3 will have the following tangible outcomes:
(a) tackle consumers’ lack of knowledge of and confidence in the new technologies;
(b) increase their awareness about real energy efficiency benefits;
(c) guide and support them in adopting new energy saving habits; and
(d) provide an off-the-shelf platform that will be directly exploitable as a product after the project’s end.
