Summary
The project under the title ‘Cultural learning experiences and experiential learning paradigms for social and labour integration of disadvantaged young migrants’ and with the acronym ‘Life in EU’ aims to support the social and labour integration of disadvantaged young migrants through cultural learning experiences and experiential learning paradigms.
More specifically, it seeks to promote active citizenship through creative learning, enhance labour market integration through an online motivational roadmap to employability and skills upgrade, and raise awareness for diversity and tolerance.
The project aims to empower young migrants to communicate, interact, create and exchange knowledge by using novel learning technologies. The proposed approach consists of establishing a digital learning ecosystem that targets societal needs and challenges by promoting cognitive, affective and social aspects of personalised training within informal (cultural, historic, traditional) settings.
The role of ITML
Within this project, ITML will build the Life in EU digital tool, an application which will work as a game and will complement the trainings provided by youth workers working with young migrants, in order to help them integrate into the society and the labour market. The goal is to help them develop several skills and become more engaged citizens to their host country, as well as facilitate their access to the labour market.
In addition, ITML will act as a communication and dissemination partner as it will host the 6th multiplier event which aims at raising awareness of policy actors, Youth NGOs and stakeholders on the importance of fostering social and labour inclusion of migrants through citizenship education.
Finally, ITML will lead the development and maintenance of the project website, where the produced outcomes will be hosted.
