ENSURESEC

Summary

The current e-commerce ecosystem has evolved into a highly distributed critical infrastructure providing a service of services, where online “shopping” and payment is followed by delivery in physical, online or virtual form, making it an attractive area for cyber-crimes. ENSURESEC is a sociotechnical solution for safeguarding the Digital Single Market’s e-commerce operations against cyber and physical threats.

The project combines an automatic, rigorous, distributed and open-source toolkit for protecting e-commerce by monitoring the impact of threats in physical spaces and launching a campaign for training SMEs and citizens to create awareness and trust. The project addresses the whole range of modern e-commerce, from standard physical products purchased online and delivered via post, to entirely virtual products or services delivered online.
