On March 20th and 21st, 2024, ITML took part in the 4th FERMI project meeting held in Brussels. Over the course of two intense days, we engaged in meaningful discussions and collaborative brainstorming sessions that aimed to tackle the D&FN pressing issues head-on. The meeting commenced with an energetic open roundtable on the first day, putting “The Power of Education” in the spotlight. This session brought together a diverse group of experts who delved into the nuances of combating D&FN through media literacy. The insights shared were not just informative but also indicative of the innovative strategies that are being employed to empower individuals in the fight against D&FN.
As the technical and innovation coordinator of the project, ITML led the relevant section on the second day focusing on evaluating project’s technical progress towards the Demonstration Flame milestone (M24) of the project. This session was a testament to the collaborative spirit of our project partners and the collective commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation. Through these deep dives, we not only assessed our current standing but also brainstormed potential pathways that could lead us to our project milestones.
The FERMI project meeting was more than just an event; it was a crucial checkpoint that allowed us to reflect on project’s achievements and chart a course for the future. As we stand at the halfway mark of the project duration, this meeting was a reminder of the progress we have made and the journey that lies ahead. With a clear vision and a roadmap in place, we are more determined than ever to tackle the challenges of D&FN. This meeting was a landmark event that showcased the power of collaboration and innovation in the fight against D&FN. As TML, we are proud to play a central role in this project and are looking forward to the milestones we will achieve together with our partners. Our journey through the FERMI project is a testament to the impact we can make when we come together to address some of the most pressing issues of our time.
