The ROXANNE (Real-time network, text, and speaker analytics for combating organized crime) project kickoff meeting was held on the 3rd and 4th of September 2019 at the Idiap Research Institute in Martigny (Valais/Switzerland) with the participation of all project partners.

ITML team made its presence felt, discussing how to leverage Big Data analytics and Data Fusion processes as weapons against crime and terrorism. More specific, ITML is leading tasks in the Data Management and the Network and Relation Analysis work packages. Regarding data, ITML will work on the sensitive and ever-expanding field of Social Media, while at the same time will focus on how to fuse, in an efficient way, all the information from speech, NLP and video technologies.
